A smoothie with dates is mind-blowingly delicious. They are a great way to pack a lot of nutrition for patients, the perfect balance of cannabis and natural sweetness to start your day.
This smoothie is a real meal. You can add peanut butter or a tablespoon of cocoa to suit your tastes. Laurie Wolf says that she often puts all the ingredients in the blender and keeps it in the fridge overnight. Just a quick blending in the morning and she has a super awesome medicated breakfast. Sounds like the way to go.
2 tbsp canna-oil recommended: infused coconut oil
8 dates pitted
1/3 cup whole almonds
2 cups almond milk
1 small frozen banana
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup almond butter
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 tbsp maple syrup optional
Heat the canna-oil in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Add the dates and the almonds and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Place the remaining ingredients in the blender and add the dates and almonds, making sure to scrape the oil into the blender.
Puree till blended and divide between two glasses.
